Catch Up

My camera is currently not working so I am not able to post any new pictures. So I have decided to play catch up. Last you knew my brother, sister in law, and nephew where coming down to see Madalyn, and they did and it was awesome! Some of you have probably read Mallory's blog (it goes into way more detail) the trip was pretty laid back. We attempted Disney towards the end of the trip. I have to be honest... it was not any fun. Madalyn is on a 3 hour feeding schedule and I am still breast feeding so I had to go to a special room when it was time to eat. (and there was only 1 feeding room in the whole park!) So my schedule looked something like this: feed for an half hour, try to find Michael and Mallory 1/2 hour, watch them in line (because by time we got there they where to far ahead for us to join them), wait for them to get off, then back to the feeding room. And did I mention there were a ton of people there! Pushing a stroller sucked! So we dropped it off in storage and carried her the whole time. There was one point that we split up and grandpa watch Madalyn as Jamie, Grandma, and I road the fast roller coaster.
Needless to say, don't take an infant to Disney. :) The rest of the trip was awesome ! Ethan has grown so much and has turned into a very handsome toddler!

Madalyn has been growing so much! She is beginning to coo and giggle at things, especially in the morning. She is more aware of her surroundings and is starting to get into a routine. We went to the doctors last week to get her first shots and to watch my daughter for the first time encounter pain. I think it hurt me more than it hurt her! I tried to stay tough, but I ended up crying just as much her! Good news though; she is 12lbs 11oz (78%) and 24 1/4 inches long (92%). She is a big baby! Just the way we like them :)

Jamie and I have decided I am going to be a stay at home mom. Which I never thought I would be. But after praying about it we really feel it is the best thing for our family. I feel (AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION) that if I try to balance being a wife, mom, and career driven woman, that one of those three things will suffer. And after thinking about it my career would demand 100% and Madalyn must have 100% and that means my husband would suffer. And in my life Jamie is my number 1 human priority, and its not right that he would have to suffer. (again, i know we are different than most people and this is just in our house) And believe it or not I am loving it ! The only sucky thing is money. We really have to count on God to provide. And he has so far! Last month we were 200 dollars short on our bills. I went out to lunch with a friend (did not tell her about our $ situation) and she pulled out her check book and told me she wanted to give us a gift (she said her way of giving to God). Guess how much the check was... yep 200 dollars! I have also began using coupons and shopping only if there is a deal. Last night I spent $90 at the grocery store and saved $92!!! Just by buying the buy one get ones and using coupons!
Well I think that is all for now.
Oh, for you all wandering how my relationship with God is going; it is getting better every day. I am learning more and more of who He is in my life. Stepping out in faith that he will provide financially what we are short in our bills every month, has challenged me in knowledge of his existence. In other words, I have never had to depend on Him as much as I am now, and I have had to "jump of the cliff" in trusting that the God I say I believe in will provide as He promises in His word.
